After a stroke, choosing the right rehabilitation program can make all the difference in your recovery. That’s why we created the Stroke Rehabilitation Program at Integrace Bayleigh Chase.
We understand that each person’s journey through stroke recovery is unique. Our exceptional team works to meet each individual where they are—and provide optimal support every step of the way.
The Stroke Rehabilitation Program is customized to each individual to help you:
Build strength, improve balance and regain mobility.
Develop cognitive and behavioral strategies to help manage physical changes.
A full continuum of care for stroke patients, beginning with short-term rehabilitation, progressing to outpatient rehabilitation services with ongoing follow-up from our neuro support team.
A skilled clinical team of nurses who deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to each patient.
Physical, occupational and speech therapists who involve patients in an intensive and comprehensive treatment program including a minimum of three hours of therapy daily, along with additional hours with the restorative team for Medicare and/or Medicaid advantage plan patients.
Access to our Neurocognitive Clinic to address any memory problems.
Individual and group therapy to provide patients the opportunity to practice skills and share their experiences with others as desired.
A Transitional Care Nurse who carefully coordinates the individual's stay, discharge plans and follow up care.
Family and caregiver education to help understand potential changes in their loved one’s behavior, while addressing risk reduction strategies and other health conditions that may be affecting quality of life.
Our specialized interdisciplinary team is led by renowned neurologist, Dr. Terry Detrich and Medical Director Dr. Paul Reinbold, and supported by Neurological Nurse Practitioner Christina Ball, along with nurses, social workers and physical, occupational and speech therapists. Our goal is to get you back to the life you were living.
A neurologist who has practiced in the local community for over 40 years, Dr. Terry Detrich provides a comprehensive approach to supporting families on Maryland’s Eastern Shore living with Alzheimer’s Disease and other neurocognitive impairments. Under his guidance, the Clinic’s traditional memory care program has evolved to a more advanced and holistic neurocognitive model of care. This model not only focuses on diagnosing and treating impairments associated with memory, but also disorders that present in all five cognitive domains of the brain, including changes in language, motor skills, balance, visual/spatial perception and executive functions.
